Industrial Discord Bios

Robert Tuxbury started creating short claymation films at the age
of 11. That led to documentaries in high school along with teaching
children film and animation. His directing debut came in 1996 when he
joined forces with an electronic industrial musician and created L.V.X.
Occulta. Over the course of 3 years he wrote, produced and directed 7
plays that were best described as Silent film on stage with an
orchestra of electronic devices. Never feeling complete on stage, an
enrolment in the film program at SCC led him to co-create Industrial
Discord with Joseph Formichella. Since then he has directed several
projects from feature films to music videos. In 2003, he returned to the
stage for a short time to direct The Fyrae, a fire performance troupe
that used fire arts and belly dancing to tell original stories. He
continues to passionately write, produce and direct for Industrial
Discord.

Joseph Formichella began his filmmaking career with a spring-wound
Kodak 8mm camera and a group of school friends who spent every weekend
shooting chase movies, science fiction epics, and odd tales involving a
monster so ugly he wore a bag over his head. Joseph gradually focused
his efforts on writing screenplays and now teaches screenwriting at
Scottsdale Community College. In 2000, he co-founded Anomalous
Entertainment and co-produced an award-winning documentary entitled FINDING THE FUTURE (now available on DVD).
In 2001, Joseph and Robert formed Industrial Discord to
make movies and music videos. Joseph applies his many years of
experience as a still
photographer when acting as cinematographer for Industrial Discord.
And since editing is essentially the final re-write of the screenplay,
Joseph serves as the primary editor for all of Industrial Discord's
projects.
