Black Dog of Camelbacks

A “desert-noir” set in present day Phoenix, Arizona, featuring:

Jack Chaney, an alcoholic ex-cop is hired by attractive Italian vamp, Sophia Monzelo to find her missing sister. Jack, though depressed at times, is neither “tarnished nor afraid” as he guides us through the “mean streets” of Phoenix while getting smacked on the head, romanced by a couple of different women and accused of murder by a “tough-as-nails” local cop. Our hero does crack a half million dollar jewel heist and help solve a couple of murders before he finds Sophia’s sister and falls in love with a mysterious street walker.
